Build in 1999 as part of a former Cortijo Romero farm, the house is part of a small hamlet with 3 other houses. It measures 82m2 and is surrounded by a fully fenced garden of 600m2. Your dog can rum freely in the garden. Around the house there are several terraces and in the front of the house, there is an inviting pool.

Welcome to Cortijo la Tuya. A place of tranquility and simplicity, close by the lovely village of Viñuela, Andalucía, Spain. Since March 2023 the Mansholt family owns this pleasant holiday house. When they are not there, the family likes to share the house so that other people can enjoy the house, the surroundings and the Spanish live like they do.

Cortijo la Tuya is a non-smoking home. The interior of Cortijo la Tuya is one of a rustic charm. The spacious living-dining room, with a cozy fireplace, offers a warm retreat during the winter months. The Livingroom offers you smart TV, with Chromecast and WiFi in the whole house and outside. Your dog is welcome and has it’s own basket to his disposal. There is also a fully equipped open kitchen, with an induction hob , oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, washing machine and dryer.
The house has two bedrooms, provided with extra tall beds (2,20m) and air-conditioning. In between the to bedrooms, there is the bathroom with bad/shower, washbasin and toilet. The house is equipped with smoke- and carbon monoxide detectors. There is a fire extinguisher available.
Cortijo la Tuya invites you to embrace the peace and simplicity of het Spanish countryside and enjoy the sun.

Cortijo la Tuya is located in the Urbanization Cortijo Romero, nestled on the quiet side, with a panoramic view from the garden terrace. Only 45 minute’s drive from Malaga Airport and 20 minute’s from the coast, the house offers a great base for a relaxed holiday with the possibility of a day on the beach in Torre del Mar.
In the direct surrounding you will find a restaurant, bar and the characteristic Hotel Viñuela, where you can enjoy local meals with a beautiful view over the lake of Viñuela.
Supermarkets ( also an English one) and shops are close by, both in Puente de Salía or Viñuela, where you can encounter charming restaurants and bars.

Encounter the historic town of Velez Malaga, an picturesque spot with shops, bars and fascinating architecture.
For the one who loves the beaches, you can discover Torre del Mar, mainly Playa de Poniente along the boulevard with a lot of restaurants along the beach. Go and visit also the timeless cities of Málaga and Granada, 45 minute’s and 1,5 hour drive. There are a lot of museums, churches, old buildings and historical sights, like the Alcazaba in Málaga and the Alhambra in Granada.

Cortijo la Tuya can be rented for a minimum of 5 nights. It’s not allowed to smoke in the house.

Dog: 5 Euro’s per night
Folding children’s bed: 3 Euro’s per night (When available)
When making a reservation, a deposit of 25% of the total rental amount is required, with the option to cancel free of charge within 16 days after the booking.

We booked Karen's house for 2 weeks and
she exceeded our expectations. The location
is just outside in a quiet area. In a
neighborhood where many English
people live, about a 20 minute drive from
a larger town. We felt perfectly safe and had direct contact with the open-minded nice neighbors. Yet the house was surrounded by bushes, so you had absolute privacy and peace with a view of the mountains. The house itself is decorated in country house style. We immediately felt at ease. Nothing was missing. Karen is incredibly kind and helpful. She was quickly accessible and explained everything in detail. Overall a wonderful vacation that we would love to repeat.

We had a great week in Cortijo la Tuya. Homely house with lovely pool, comfortable mattresses and air-condition in every bedroom. Everything available for a week or even longer stay. Pleasant quiet area. Car really necessary because of the rural location. Good roads. The area, cities and beach easy to reach. Within fifteen minutes nice restaurants where we really ate well. Communication with Host was very pleasant and she was easily accessible for questions.
In short: We are very satisfied and wish everyone to enjoy it there.
